The freezer

The Freezer is a furnace that runs on cold. It resets hot lava sponges and burnt fire sponges, which a normal furnace cannot.

Crafting

Shaped ➜ Freezer

Any stone that works for a furnace works here too, such as cobblestone, blackstone or cobbled deepslate. Mine the freezer with a pickaxe.

Using it

The freezer works like a furnace. The top slot is the item to freeze, the bottom slot is fuel, and the result comes out on the right.

• Only items with a freezing recipe fit in the top slot, and only freezer fuel fits in the bottom slot.
• Each item takes 10 seconds.
• The front lights up while the freezer is running.
• Take out the result to collect the stored experience. Breaking the freezer drops it too.

Powder snow buckets leave an empty bucket in the fuel slot.
