Snow sponges clear snow layers, snow blocks and powder snow. When soaked they become frozen.

The base Snow Sponge reaches one block further than the other base sponges and can visit up to 125 blocks.

Snow Sponges are also found in igloos, snowy village houses and ancient city ice boxes, and the Warden drops Compressed Snow Sponge 2x (Loot). The Snow Sponge Trader in snowy biomes sells every tier.

Frozen sponges

A frozen snow sponge thaws the moment it is placed in any Nether biome and turns back into the snow sponge of the same tier.

It also thaws in a regular furnace:

WARNING

Frozen sponges break like snow blocks: they break quickly but drop nothing unless you mine them with a hoe.
