Water sponges

The water line builds on the vanilla sponge. The mod adds five compressed tiers above it, each with a wet form.

The vanilla sponge and wet sponge keep their normal behaviour. Only the compressed tiers are added by the mod.

Getting them

Craft four sponges into a Compressed Sponge 1x, then keep going. See Compression for every step.

Sponges also come from shipwrecks and buried treasure, Elder Guardians drop Compressed Sponge 2x (Loot), and the Water Sponge Trader sells every tier.

Drying

A wet compressed sponge dries the moment it is placed in the Nether, just like the vanilla wet sponge. It turns back into the dry sponge of the same tier.

You can also smelt it in a furnace:

The furnace works for every tier and takes 10 seconds per sponge.
